Operation
• These bolts are used in pairs at top and bottom of inactive door.
• In double door application, opening active door automatically retracts top and bottom bolts. Closing active door extends top and bottom bolts into frame and sill strikes, locking inactive door. (A dust – proof strike SZi-DP005 may be used with bottom side, option). It is fully automatic.
• If use of one unit for top side only, it has to combine a fire latch bolt which replaces the bottom bolt. This combination greatly reduced floor preparation, also eliminates field problems caused by door warp or changes in field conditions.

Fire Latch Bolt – Model SZi-FL001
This auxiliary Fire Latch Bolt is a temperature-actuated bolt that automatically extends from active door into the inactive door when the temperature exceed the rating of the fusible link. It is installed in bottom door edge inside of the active door to replace the bottom flush bolt.
